Rare stones,
quietly held.
Cygnet Gems is a private house of coloured stones — rubies from Montepuez, emeralds from Swat, garnets from Kunene. Each piece is sourced at origin, catalogued as a single object, and offered on enquiry.

Provenance
Bought where
it was found.
Every stone in the Cygnet cabinet is bought in the country of its origin — the Swat Valley of Pakistan, Montepuez in Mozambique, Mberengwa in Zimbabwe, the Ethiopian highlands.
We work almost exclusively with untreated material. Where a stone has been heated or lightly oiled — the traditional and disclosed practices of the trade — we say so plainly on the ticket.

The House
Riccardo Burzotta
Cygnet Gems was co-founded on a simple principle: that trust in a coloured stone comes from knowing who bought it, and where. A stone is not an anonymous commodity — it is a single object, pulled from a specific piece of ground, and its story matters.
